The hike along French Pete Creek begins from Highway 19 after Cougar Reservoir. After hiking about a mile along the creek, eating lunch and coming back to the car we drove over the Box Canyon Summit and came out in West Fir, then came home on Highway 58. It is hot in the valley.

Very pretty. I hope it was much cooler there than in Eugene. It has been hot here.
